Marzio Drigani is the owner of a hotel in the heart of Florence. He turned to us for the supply of coffee for the coffee shop that he opened inside the hotel, because he wanted to offer quality products to his customers.However, Ben Caffè is not just for the guests of the hotel, indeed it has become a reference point for all the quality lovers in Florence. Marzio wanted to tell us more about his adventure and the birth of Ben Caffè:
“Good evening, I’m Marzio Drigani. In 2000, my wife, my brother-in-law and I bought this small building in the centre of Florence, located between piazza del Duomo and piazza della Signoria, and we opened a hotel. Since the very beginning, our three-star hotel has been successful and has hosted people from all over the world, but especially in the first years, mainly Americans. This building dates back to the late fifteenth century and belonged to one of the most important Florentine families of the time. Over time it has undergone several changes, until we have transformed it into a hotel. In 2018 we opened the coffee shop, and broadened our offer to reach a wider public, besides the hotel guests. Our concern was to typify the shop not as an ordinary bar, but as a shop specializing in quality coffee. We made some research, we read and studied trade magazines and we came to the conclusion that Le Piantagioni del Caffè could be our best choice. We didn’t know this company, but we got in touch, we tried their coffees and verified that their quality was very high. Their coffee, differentiating from all the others, allows us to offer our customers a top-quality product, and matches exactly what we were looking for. It was a successful choice, and our customers highly appreciated it, right from the start. Indeed, I have often heard our customers say that our coffees and cappuccinos were the best they had ever tasted during their stay in Italy, which obviously makes us very happy! “
