100% Arabica
Hello, I’m Iacopo from “Le Piantagioni del Caffè” and I will tell you about
100% Arabica coffee.
Is 100% Arabica coffee synonymous with quality?
When facing this wording, many people think they have found high-quality coffee but this is not the case! Not all arabica can be defined as quality.
Look up here, for example both are 100 percent arabica coffee but on the one hand we have excellent quality coffee, on the other a coffee that is defective and therefore bad.
We must consider that one of the variables that have a decisive impact on the quality of the coffee is the processing quality, be it arabica or robusta.
The phases of harvesting, selection, and processing of coffee have an impact on the quality of the final product. So if they are neglected or badly managed we will have a low- quality coffee, that is to say bad.
A coffee made from unripe cherries will release a sensation of astringency in the cup, as the sourness of an unripe lemon.
A coffee washed with a natural method that has been subjected to excessive fermentation will release hints of vinegar in the cup.
