The espresso cup must be hot!
Hello, I’m Paolo from “Le Piantagioni del Caffè” and I will talk about the temperature of the espresso cup.
The cup has to be hot but not boiling hot.
The temperature must be around 50 degrees, not higher because otherwise the coffee that goes in tends to burn since it has a lower temperature.
Coffee served in a boiling hot cup has a burnt flavor and it will taste bitter.
On the contrary, coffee served in a cold cup has less body.
The color of the cream is clear and the flavor is faded.
So it’s not desirable to drink coffee in a cup too hot or too cold.
To repeat: the ideal temperature of a coffee cup is 50° C.
